It is located in the northeast of Çukurova and in the south of the Central Taurus Mountains. Its average height above sea level is 95 meters and its surface area is 1071.3 km2. Kadirli, the largest district of Osmaniye Province; There are Feke and Saimbeyli districts in the north, Andırın and Düziçi districts in the east, Osmaniye city center and Ceyhan district in the south, and Sumbas and Kozan districts in the west. One-third of the district's land is mountainous and two-thirds is plain. Summers are hot and dry, winters are warm and rainy. The climate becomes continental in the mountainous region, whose highest points reach 2307 meters. The highest temperature in the district is August with an average of 36 C, the lowest temperature is January with an average of 3 C, and the average annual rainfall is 890 mm per m2. The vegetation in the district is rich. While a wide variety of agriculture is carried out in the plains, there are forest areas in the mountainous parts.
